CEBU, Philippines — Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma has called on the people, especially the youth, to celebrate Valentine’s Day beyond relationship.
Palma has reminded that Valentine’s Day is also a day to thank God for the gift of love.
He said Valentine’s Day is not only for lovers but also for the family, parents, friends and other people.
Palma also emphasized that love can be shared through prayers for the sick, for the needy and the care for self to keep away from sickness.
Meanwhile, the Talisay City police would remain strict in implementing the health protocols despite Valentine’s Day.
Talisay City Police Station chief, Police Lt. Col. Gerard Ace Pelare, said cops are deployed in areas where people go today like malls, restaurants and other places.
Pelare also warned that curfew hours must be observed. — Gabriel C. Bonjoc, GMR (FREEMAN)
