Call center agent nabbed with P1 million shabu

CEBU, Philippines — A call center agent was arrested by the elements of the Abellana Police Station during a buy-bust operation conducted along V. Urgello Street, Barangay Sambag 2, Cebu City last Wednesday night.

It was around 9:30 p.m. when the authorities arrested Charlemagne Bolisay Zosa, also known as CJ, 21, tagged as high-value individual, of Casa Mira Subdivision, Barangay Linao, Talisay City.

The suspect who is currently detained at Abellana Police Station will be charged for violation of Section 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165.

According to station chief, Police Major Elisandro Quijano, Zosa has been under surveillance by the police for almost a week after his name was revealed in their previous arrests.

“Nap-monitor siya kay tagakan siya at the same time mo-distribute within Cebu City,” said Quijano.

Quijano further said that they are not discounting the possibility that Zosa could be a member of an illegal drug group considering that some of his relatives were also previously arrested for illegal drug trading.

“Naa man ni silay mga parente sa sulod (city jail) possible nga kining iyang (transaction) gikan sa sulod,” said Quijano.

Zosa has been in the illegal drug trading for almost two years, according to Quijano quoting their initial investigation.

Confiscated from Zosa were eleven sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 155 grams with an estimated market price of more than P1 million. — GMR (FREEMAN)
