Danao-Camotes trips resume

Mae Fhel K. Gom-os - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — Around 46 stranded individuals in Danao City port were able to leave for Camotes Island yesterday morning.

Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Danao has allowed vessels to resume trips after almost a day of suspension due to storm signal hoisted over some parts of northern Cebu.

The storm signal was eventually lifted Sunday afternoon.

Personnel of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) immediately took care of the stranded individuals.

The city government of Danao has provided them with food packs through what it called as Bayanihan Cooking.

The Bayanihan Cooking is comprised of the local government staff with special cooking skills who are also responsible for preparing daily meals for frontliners and those who are COVID-19 patients at the isolation center. — GMR (FREEMAN)
