Female drug suspect falls with P6.8 million shabu

CEBU, Philippines — A female drug suspect was arrested Tuesday night during a buy-bust operation in Unit 4 OPRRA (Old Philippine Railway Residents Association) in Barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City resulting in the confiscation of P6.8 million worth of illegal drugs.

Police identified the suspect as Noralyn Bordan, 43, a native of Sagay City, Negros Occidental.  Police Major Randy Caballes, chief of the City Intelligence Branch, said the suspect was considered a high-value-target in Central Visayas.

 Bordan was placed under surveillance for two weeks before the buy-bust operation. According to the police, the suspect is capable of selling up to 500 grams of shabu every week. She used to be a house helper of a known big time drug dealer until she was utilized in the illegal drug operations.

"Gikan to Sagay City Negros Occidental, gikuha as helper, but kadugayan gigamit na sa drug business sa iyang amo," Caballes said.

The group reportedly got Bordan an apartment in OPRRA for their illegal operations. They allegedly sourced their supply from the City Jail.

 Caballes, however, refused to identify Bordan’s employer because of an ongoing follow up operation.

"Nag duwa gyud ni (Bordan) ang amo niya, dili lang ma-mention kay naa pa follow up.  Ang pinaka source is ang naa sa city jail na drug personality," Caballes said.  FPL (FREEMAN)
