CEBU, Philippines — The lifeless bodies of still unidentified men were found dumped in Barangay Campo 4, Talisay City on Black Saturday.
The bodies of the victims were riddled with gunshot wounds and were dumped into a ravine, said Police Major Gerard Ace Pelare.
Pelare, chief of Talisay City Police Station, said his station received a report from a concerned citizen about the sighting of two dead bodies.
Warren Panuncia, 29, told police that he saw two vehicles—white and black vans— in the area past 9 p.m. Friday.
Two people alighted from the vehicles and threw something into the ravine. Then they immediately boarded the vehicles and fled toward the city proper.
Panuncia said they thought the men were just throwing a garbage.
It was Rissa Mayo Tomas, 34, who saw the dead bodies the following day, according to cops.
Pelare said the men may have been killed elsewhere before they were dumped in the area.
The police are currently facing a blank wall as to the identities of the victims and the suspects.
The two bodies are now kept at a funeral parlor on Natalio Bacalso Avenue in Cebu City. KQD (FREEMAN)
