Naked woman falls to death from condo building’s 24th floor

CEBU, Philippines —  A 24-year-old Filipina died after falling from the 24th floor of a condominium building at the Cebu IT Park in Barangay Apas, Cebu City yesterday dawn.

The woman, Marlhan Castaños, was found naked.

Based on the initial investigation, Police Master Sergeant Antonio Din of the Mabolo Police Station said Castaños was sitting on the air-conditioning ledge outside the window of the unit when she slipped and fell down.

“The naked Castaños went out of the room through the sliding window and sat on the ledge. But she slipped and fell,” said Din.

Prior to the incident, Castaños and her Taiwanese boyfriend, Tsu-Ping Lin, were seen arguing inside their unit. The scene was witnessed by construction workers of a nearby building.

Din said Castaños even waved her hands, as if bidding her goodbyes, to the workers.

Tsu-Ping Lin was invited to the police station for questioning. He said they were drunk after attending a Christmas party.

Din said they will look deeper into the incident to make sure no stone is left unturned.

“An investigation is ongoing to ensure that no foul play was involved in the death of Castaños,” he said.

An autopsy on the body of Castaños will be conducted, while Tsu-Ping Lin will be subjected to a drug test as part of the investigation.  KQD (FREEMAN)
