CEBU, Philippines — We are very ready."
Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 director Debold Sinas said this during the send-off ceremony of police officers who will be deployed all over Central Visayas for the National and Local Elections on Monday, May 13.
He added after all the visits, dialogue, and other related preparations, everything is now in order.
Sinas said 10,150 is the total force to be deployed from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard, and Barangay Public Safety Officers.
"I think that's enough," said Sinas adding that if there is a need for reinforcement, they can provide since they have reserved personnel.
The ratio of deployment is two police officers for every polling center if there is no reported election related incidents.
If the place is tagged as red, one team from the PNP and one team from the AFP will be deployed per barangay to ensure a safe and orderly election. — MBG (FREEMAN)
