CEBU, Philippines — Thousands of children from various schools, including daycare centers, are expected to grace today’s second State of the Children’s Report (SOCR) of Mandaue City Mayor Gabriel Luis Quisumbing in line with the Children’s Month celebration.
Quisumbing is set to report to the Mandauehanon children at the City Cultural and Sports Complex at 8 a.m.
Prior to his report, there will be a performance by the Mandaue Science High School. The event will be attended by the City Social Welfare Services (CSWS).
Last year, about 1,200 students from the daycare center of 27 barangays of the city attended the SOCR, including those from Mandaue City Comprehensive National High School (MCCNHS).
The mayor will be updating the children on the progress report of the city’s programs for children, welfare, health and nutrition, and education.
Meanwhile, Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza is set to deliver her report to the children on November 9, Friday at Hoopsdome.
This will be her final SOCR. Thousands of children in the city are also expected to attend the event.
