Garma: CCPO not protecting gambling

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) director Royima Garma assured the public that they are not protecting any form of illegal gambling.

She also said she will not tolerate if any of her men is proven to be protecting illegal gambling.

“We are not protecting any video karera and mole-mole in my area of responsibility,” Garma said.

She added if there will be reports that police are involved she will immediately conduct corrective measures.

“Lagi sinasabi protector ang mga pulis pero wala namang sinasabing pulis. Paninira lang. Ngayon kung may pulis talaga, iharap sa akin ang pulis na yan because that is part of the effort in cleansing our ranks,” she said.

Garma also urged people in the community to help the police considering that there is still a problem in cleansing the city from illegal drugs.

If they know of policemen protecting illegal gambling they should also report so that proper action can be taken. (FREEMAN)
