Uniformed and non-uniformed personnel
CEBU, Philippines — The call is out for 58 non-uniformed personnel (NUP) all over the region to help the police in their fight against criminality and to strengthen police efforts.
Police Regional Office-7 Director Debold Sinas announced yesterday that there is an on-going recruitment of NUPs to fill in the different vacancies in the various police offices in Region 7.
NUP supervisor Ma. Dolores Quimlat said 58 personnel are needed for the various vacant positions in the Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Office, and the Regional Logistics and Research Development Division in the PRO-7 headquarters.
NUPs are also needed for the Mandaue City Police Office, the Cebu Provincial Police Office, the Bohol Police Provincial Office, the Negros Police Provincial Office, and the Siquijor Police Provincial Office.
Quimlat said that they will be reposting the announcement in the specific stations where there are vacancies
"Amo ra ni i-repost sa lugar kung asa ang naa’y specific vacancies, for example sa Cebu Province ang vacancies, adto sad ni namo i-post,” she said.
Meanwhile, PRO-7 Director Debold Sinas also announced the ongoing recruitment of uniformed police officers.
"As of now ang total ng police na nagpa-process na is 500, ang regular quota natin ay 300 at 200 ang attrition," Sinas said.
Superintendent Jonathan Abella, chief of the Regional Personnel and Human Resources Development Division of PRO-7, said an applicant for police recruit must be a Filipino citizen, have a Bachelor’s degree, have no pending cases, and stand between 5'2” and 5'4” tall. Marenyl Bolhano (FREEMAN)
