CEBU, Philippines - Two men died in separate shooting incidents in Carcar City, Cebu last Thursday.
Ryan Tabada Echavez, 21, a resident of Napo, Carcar, was found lying on top of his motorcycle after he was shot dead by an unidentified assailant around 6:30 p.m.
Initial investigation showed that the gunman was likely the person who was riding the motorcycle with Echavez, who shot him at the back of the head at close range.
"Wala na ni siyay uli-uli sa ila... naglayas man ni siya," said Senior Inspector Jose Liddawa, who said Echavez was believed to be a drug user.
Meanwhile, in Kamagayan, Barangay Perrelos, Jhunrey Plarisan, 21, was riding a motorcycle when two men onboard a motorcycle shot him in the neck around 6 p.m. the same day.
Plarisan was rushed to the Carcar City Provincial Hospital but he was already dead when he arrived there.
Carcar police are still conducting a follow up investigation to determine the motive for the killing. Yula Pasaol (FREEMAN)
