CEBU, Philippines - The Regional Development Council in Central Visayas is set to meet twice next month to discuss the region's priority programs, activities and projects (PAPs) for next year.
The RDC Full Council Meeting would convene on March 18 in Cebu City, while its sectoral committee (Seccom) meetings are slated in the first week of March.
Bohol Governor and RDC chairman Edgar Chatto, in a memorandum, said the agenda of these meetings would be the region’s PAPs in accordance with the National Budget Memorandum No. 125 dated January 15.
Chatto then reminded RDC member agencies to submit a proposed list of priority PAPs that is endorsed by the concerned local development councils on or before February 18. He pointed out that PAPs should come from the 2017 Annual Investment Program.
Aside from LDC endorsements, Chatto said agencies must also bring with them report on the inclusion of the RDC-endorsed 2017 PAPs and 2016 General Appropriation Act.
“To gauge the success rate of the RDC in terms of funding of its endorsed PAPs, we also would like to request you to provide the RDC Secretariat data on the inclusion of your agency’s RDC-endorsed PAPs in the GAA for 2015 and 2016,” he said.
In line with this, the Department of Education-7 has directed all its schools division offices to fast track the submission of their proposed list of PAPs.
Lawyer Fiel Almendra, acting assistant regional director, said the reports must be duly signed by the Schools Division Superintendent and must be submitted on or before February 15 via email at Edmund.ocado@deped.gov.ph or deped07_rpu@yahoo.com.ph or via fax at (032) 231-1433. — (FREEMAN)
