CEBU, Philippines - Three people were arrested, including a suspected drug pusher, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Liloan town last Monday resulting in the confiscation of at least P260,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Paulo Paran Laag Jr., 42, was caught in the act of selling drugs to an undercover policeman. His cousin, Miguelito Paran Laag, 36, and Kenneth Bughao, 34, were also arrested during the operation.
Police Officer 1 Christian Rainer Laurito told The FREEMAN that a poseur-buyer transacted a pack of shabu worth P3,000 from Laag Jr. The suspects did not resist arrest but Laurito said they were very cautious during the operation.
“Kuyawan gani mi ato basin og manukol plywood ra baya ang bong-bong lapos-lapos ra,” Laurito said.
The police recovered one big plastic pack and five medium packs of suspected shabu from Laag Jr.
The buy-bust money was recovered from Bughao along with P6,700 cash and a big pouch. Miguelito yielded one big plastic pack, a medium pack, and 15 small packs of suspected shabu.
The arrest of the suspects was a product of a surveillance operation conducted for almost a week.
