Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Hundreds of residents from at least five barangays in Cebu City north district have participated in the forum assembly on the people’s services where programs and services of various national government agencies were made available to the people.

Sponsored by Action for Nurturing Children and Environment, Inc., the event aims to bring closer to the people the various programs and services of the government.

The beneficiaries came from Barangays Tinago, Tejero, San Roque, Lorega, and Carreta.

Representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment-7 , Department of Social Welfare and Development-7, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority-7 were among the national agencies that participated in the event.

Cebu City North District Representative  Raul Del Mar attended the assembly held at the Mabolo Sports Complex. Del Mar enlightened the  participants by providing them information on how they could avail of the services.

Del Mar, in a statement released by ANCE, said that all services are made available to benefit the poor.

Del Mar cited the government’s Conditional Cash Transfer wherein a certain amount of money is given as subsidy to poor families.

“The continuing crusade of ANCE’s objectives to reach out to these indigent families to enhance and inform the government programs and services that will benefit them is a welcome move. These efforts is commendable and I am thankful and honored to grace this kind of integration where public servants are being used as catalyst for this worthy endeavor,” said del Mar. —/FPL (FREEMAN)
