CEBU, Philippines- After nine years in hiding, a wanted person was arrested after he was seen attending the graduation exercises of his daughter Sunday night in Barangay Caputatan Norte, Medellin town.
Danilo Dumaguit, Medellin’s eighth most wanted person, was finally arrested nine years after his arrest warrant was issued. Senior Police Officer 1 Ryan Castro, said that the suspect attended the graduation of his daughter in Camputatan Norte Elementary School. He also has two other daughters who are studying in the same school Castro said.
Past 7 p.m. on Sunday, a concerned citizen informed them that the suspect was present in the school. The police immediately went to the area to serve Dumaguit’s arrest warrant.
Castro said that the warrant was issued on 2006 by Executive Judge Antonio Marigomen, Regional trial Court Branch 61, in Dakit, Bogo City.
Dumaguit was charged with murder and Judge Marigomen did not recommend bail for the suspect.
Dumaguit’s daughter reportedly felt bad since she saw the police taking her father away.
While the police said that the suspect has been hiding for over nine years, Dumaguit told the cops that he was never in hiding and was just living in Medellin the whole time. (FREEMAN)
