CEBU, Philippines- Three armed persons carted away over P200,000 worth of cash and valuables after they robbed, mauled and threatened a businesswoman inside her house in Barangay Pulpogan, Consolacion town Saturday night.
Police Officer 3 Renerio Patillas, desk officer of Consolacion Police Station said that the victim is Marilou Hiyas, a poultry shop owner.
Patillas said that past 7 p.m. on Saturday, the victim went home from her poultry shop and rode a passenger motorcycle (habal-habal) from the market to her house.
On the way home, three male persons wearing jackets on board a motorcycle started to tail them.
“Sakay siya’g habal-habal nagsunod niya sakay og motor XRM color white,” Patillas said.
When she reached her house, she got off from the motorcycle but the robbers also stopped near her house.
One of the robbers held the hand of the habal-habal driver and pointed a gun at him.
The other one pointed a gun at the victim and grabbed her hair and dragged her inside of the house.
The three robbers went inside of the house and took her shoulder bag containing P70,000.
They also took the victim’s jewelries worth P150,000 but reportedly looked for P500,000 cash.
“Nangita og P500,000 payment sa house and lot. Nagpabuto pa ang suspek katulo ka higayon,” he added.
Because they could not find what they were looking for, one of the robbers fired his gun inside the room.
After failing to get the half million pesos, they fled away leaving the victim inside the room.
The police recovered a bullet of an unknown type of firearm and pieces of slugs inside the room.
The police are now investigating the identity of the suspects and their whereabouts. (FREEMAN)
