CEBU, Philippines - Aiming to provide the public a safe and clean hospital environment, the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center will once again conduct its annual maintenance of the cleanliness of the hospital.
The VSMMC Infection Control Committee will scrub and clean some areas of the hospital including the delivery and labor room, Ward 1 (High Risk and Low Risk) and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The maintenance activity will last for 13 days starting tomorrow, March 22. It will end on April 4.
In line with this, the hospital will not be accepting obstetrics cases for the said duration.
However, VSMMC will start admitting emergency cases only and direct these to the delivery room starting today to give time for social workers to discharge the remaining patients.
Patients coming from the southern part of Cebu can be referred to St. Anthony Mother and Child Hospital and Talisay District Hospital while those from the north can be referred to Eversley Child Sanitarium and General Hospital.
The hospital management is asking for consideration and cooperation from the public for the inconvenience. — Ma. Fatima R. Secuya/NSA (FREEMAN)
