CEBU, Philippines- A sales agent and his team were robbed Saturday by three unidentified armed men in San Fernando town.
The victims were identified as Julier Luzano, 29, salesman; Herbert Conveno, 29, helper; and Evaresto Guizanon, 44, driver. The three reported to the town’s police station and alleged that they were robbed of their P30,000 sales.
Police Officer 3 Marjukin Misuari said the victims had just delivered bottles of rum to a store when the robbers came to the delivery van and pointed a gun at them.
The robbers took the sling bag from Luzano containing P30,000 sales and his cellular phone worth P17,000. The robbers locked up the helper and the driver inside the van while Luzano was left in front of the vehicle. The robbers reportedly took Luzano’s sunglasses before leaving towards Naga City on board a red Honda Wave motorcycle.
Misuari said they are still investigating the incident to identify the robbers. Although the police believe that they may have come from San Fernando town.
He added that they are now monitoring a group led by a suspected robber who was recently released from jail after posting bail. The victims, however, could not identify the robbers through the station’s rogues gallery.
It was the second robbery incident in San Fernando involving sales agents within a week. On Monday, a tobacco sales agent and his team were also robbed by three armed persons in Barangay Pitalo. (FREEMAN)
