Aide kills boss
CEBU, Philippines - A businessman in Argao town died after he was shot by his worker who eventually surrendered to authorities last Thursday night.
Vito Pantinople, 39, suffered from two gunshot wounds in the abdomen and was declared dead on arrival at the Argao District Hospital.
His house help, Vresnib Aballe, 21, told the police that he was forced to shoot Pantinople because the latter reportedly pointed his gun at him first.
Argao police chief, Senior Inspector Alejandro Batobalonos, said Aballe had also alleged that Pantinople would often point his gun at him, especially when he got drunk.
Aballe surrendered to officials of Barangay Panadtaran yesterday morning. He was subsequently arrested by the police.
Batobalonos said Aballe confessed throwing the .38 revolver he used to shoot Pantinople. — Grace Melanie I. Lacamiento/JMO (FREEMAN)
