CEBU, Philippines - Several items were stolen from a classroom of a public school along Cabreros Street, Barangay Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City Wednesday morning.
Jeneth Descartin, a teacher of Basak Community School, was set to have a class in the science classroom that morning but noticed that the door was already open.
She immediately reported it to the elements of Mambaling Police Station who then discovered that the unknown robbers took away a DVD player, a flat screen television, a laptop and an electric stove placed in a large cabinet inside the classroom.
PO3 Sean Colobio, desk officer, said that the robbers forcibly entered the classroom.
“Posibleng gisipa or giduot gyud ug maayo,” he said.
He also said that they are eyeing more than one suspect in the burglary considering the number of items that were taken.
He added that they are also looking at the possibility that the robbers are employees of the school since they were able to easily carry the things outside of the school and that they knew the exact location of the items in the classroom.
The police are still conducting a follow-up investigation into the incident. (FREEMAN)
