CEBU, Philippines - An Australian national was arrested by police Sunday after she allegedly went wild inside a salon at a mall in Cebu City.

Police Officer 2 Villarando Bacalso of the Mabolo Police said Denisse Stephanie Campos, 25, reportedly went mad when she was made to pay higher than the price agreed upon originally for the services she availed of at the salon.

“Nagsabot sila nga P3,500 ra ang bayad pero paghuman, naa may mga additional fees unya niabot siya og P4,500,” Bacalso said.

This reportedly prompted Campos to complain to the salon management but the situation worsened with Campos yelling at and throwing a soft drink bottle at Jessy Joy Pasquire, the salon manager. She also allegedly took a hard bound notebook and threw it at the pregnant cashier, Mary Grace Baguio, who was reportedly hit in the stomach. Campos also allegedly ran her fingernails on the neck of Janine Antojado, an employee of the salon.

The mall’s security guards then arrested Campos and detained her at the Mabolo Police Station.

Campos is a temporary resident of Greenhills Subdivision, Mandaue City.

In a separate incident also on Sunday, police arrested a Japanese national for drunkenness in Barangay Guadalupe.

Yuya Maesato, 28, of Aichi, Japan was spotted by members of the mobile patrol group roaming V. Rama Avenue aimlessly. He was made to undergo an liquor test and was found to be intoxicated.

Police Officer 3 Rogelio Caballes of Tourist Police Unit said Maesato was released eventually after he paid the fine. He is residing temporarily in Barangay Mabolo.  (FREEMAN)
