No bail for “drug pusher” caught with P1.2M shabu
CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office has indicted a suspected drug pusher who was caught in possession of P1.2 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lorega-San Miguel, Cebu City last week.
Assistant city prosecutor Ernesto Narido Jr. did not also recommend bail for the temporary liberty of Francis James Rafols.
During the inquest investigation, Rafols waived his right to avail of a preliminary investigation and opted to answer the charges directly in court.
Rafols, 32, resident of Gen. Echavez Street, Sitio San Miguel, Barangay Lorega-San Miguel, was arrested on November 18 at 6:55 p.m. by the operatives of the City Intelligence Branch during a buy-bust operation.
Police Officer 2 Raymond Zozobrado went undercover and was able to arrange a transaction with Rafols. During the operation the accused tried to elude arrest but was eventually arrested after a brief chase.
The police seized 20 sachets of shabu weighing a total of 89.39 grams as well as the P3,000 buy-bust money. (FREEMAN)
