CEBU, Philippines - The chief operations officer of AppleOne Properties, Inc. has requested the City Council to grant its Land Development Permit application.
In a letter, Ferdinand Vargas said the company has already complied with the necessary requirements for the permit.
The council earlier deferred the issuance of the permit because the company failed to secure a development permit for its housing project in Banawa Heights.
The suspension of the issuance of the building permit will be lifted once the developer can secure and present the development permit.
Councilor Ma. Nida Cabrera pointed out earlier that the developer has applied for the required permits gradually and that the Office of the Building Official reported that only two out of 19 buildings have building permits.
While it is true that they have 19 buildings, Vargas said they already submitted five building permit applications to OBO. He said they have five building types or description that is why they submitted only five permits.
One of the five building types has 10 buildings to be constructed, while another one building type has six buildings to be constructed. He said three building types will have one building each.
Vargas said the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board has issued a Development Permit for the project.
He said that on July 24, 2014, the Cebu City Zoning Board also recommended for the approval of the Development permit.
The council then referred the letter to OBO and the Cebu City Zoning Board and requested the offices to provide a report next week. — (FREEMAN)
