CEBU, Philippines - One person died and three others were seriously injured after two motorcycles collided yesterday dawn in V. Rama Avenue, Cebu City.
Clifford Galvez, 40, of Lower Hills, Barangay Casuntingan, Mandaue City, was declared dead on arrival at the Cebu City Medical Center while his companion, Pablo Layos, 31, of Elvira Cui Compound, Punta Princesa, is confined at the same hospital because of severe injuries in the body.
Mark Lloyd Sajolan, 35, of B. Rodriguez Street, Cebu City and Rodante Tagsip, 37, of Suba, Cebu City, are also in critical condition at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
Galvez was driving a motorcycle with Layos as his passenger while Sajolan was also driving another motorcycle with Tagsip as back rider when they collided head-on and fell on the road.
In another motorcycle accident, two persons are also in critical condition at the Provincial Hospital in Danao City after they rammed into a pile of sandbags along the highway in Barangay Norte, Carmen town yesterday afternoon.
Rogelio Gian, of Barangay Ipil, Carmen, and Dante Ihara, of Baring, Carmen, were heading home onboard a motorcycle when the accident happened.
Gian reportedly lost control of the motorcycle and rammed into the pile of sandbags before they were thrown off about 10 meters away hitting their heads on the pavement. (FREEMAN)
