CEBU, Philippines - The City of Naga will soon have a satellite office of the National Bureau of Investigation.
Mayor Valdemar Chiong said this will help his constituents and those from the neighboring towns in processing their NBI clearances.
“They don’t need to go to Cebu City just to get their NBI clearance. It’s about time we have an NBI satellite office here,” said Chiong.
Chiong said the NBI office will also spur economic activities in their city, as individuals who visit their place will have to spend for food and transportation.
According to Chiong, if in a day, 500 people will visit the NBI office and spend P100 each on food and transportation, this will mean income for the city’s businessmen and drivers.
The mayor said they will train five persons to work for the satellite office, which will be located at the Enan Activity Center.
He said they are targeting to open it before the month ends. — (FREEMAN)
