CEBU, Philippines - Around 5,000 beneficiaries will gather this Sunday at Plaza Independencia for the Pantawid Pamilya caravan.
The activity is in line with the National Family Day, celebrated every third week of September.
Plaza Independencia in Cebu City will house the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) implemented by the Department of Social Welfare and Development-7.
This year’s celebration of National Family Day has the theme “Celebrating the Filipino Families: Resilient and Caring,” recognizing the globally-known spirit of Filipino family.
Likewise, this Sunday’s nationwide caravan will bear the theme “Sama-samang Pagdiriwang ng Magandang Pagbabago sa Buhay ng Pamilyang Pilipino.”
The event is led by National Committee on the Filipino Family (NCCF) which is chaired by DSWD along with member agencies of the government, private institutions and faith-based groups.
Moreover, the same event will have the launching of the “Pantawid Pamilya sa Pagbabago” campaign and will have sharing of inspiring stories from beneficiaries.
Part of the launch is the simultaneous performance of the “Kaya Ko Ang Pagbabago” dance.
Joining the campaign dance launch are the world-renowned dancing inmates from the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center. (FREEMAN)
