Capitol employees to get P23 million incentive tomorrow
CEBU, Philippines - The P23 million cash incentive under the Collective Negotiation Agreement is set to be released to employees of the Cebu provincial government tomorrow.
At least 1,553 employees who have been employed in the Capitol since December 31, 2013 will each receive P15,000 as promised by Governor Hilario Davide III.
Provincial Budget Officer Danilo Rodas announced yesterday that the incentives will be released by the Provincial Treasurer’s Office through the respective automated teller machine accounts of the employees.
Last Thursday, the Provincial Board approved its first supplemental budget for this year, which covers the P15, 000 bonus.
Davide announced the bonus during the province’s 445th founding anniversary celebration early this month.
The cash incentives, Davide noted, is part of the CNA with the Provincial Employees Association of Cebu, Inc. for accomplishing the performance targets at “lesser cost” and for attaining “more efficient and valuable operations” through cost-cutting measures and systems improvement.
Last year, the Capitol introduced changes in its internal operations with the aim to minimize processing time.
These changes include the Expense Management System, an application that integrates all departments, taxpayers, and vendors to fast-track payment processes; the Legislative Record Tracking System, an extensive detailed tracking system for all types of ordinances and resolutions; and the Document Tracking System.
On top of the CNA, Capitol employees with at least one year of service as of August 6, 2014 each received an additional P 3,000 as anniversary bonus, which was already released last August 15. — (FREEMAN)
