CEBU, Philippines - Assorted packets of shabu amounting to P80,000 and several drug paraphernalia were seized from two alleged drug pushers in separate anti-illegal drugs operations in the towns of Aloguinsan and Tuburan Friday.
In the first operation, police arrested Dante Bayking of Purok San Roque, Barangay Santo Rosario, Aloguinsan around 7 a.m.
The team led by Aloguinsan police chief, Inspector Gilfred Baroman served the arrest warrant for Bayking in his house.
The warrant was signed by Regional Trial Court Judge Hermes Montero of Branch 59, Toledo City.
A large packet and 46 small packets of shabu and drug paraphernalia were confiscated from Bayking’s residence.
Bayking was under surveillance for a week before the operation was carried out. He is reportedly a level two three drug pusher who can dispose at least 50 grams or more of shabu in a week. He was also in the municipal list of drug pushers.
Meanwhile, in Barangay 5, Tuburan town, Lyndon Sanchez was arrested by the Municipal Anti-Illegal Special Operation Task Group in a buy-bust operation at around 10 p.m.
Sanchez was arrested for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
One medium and 17 small packets of shabu were seized during the implementation of a search warrant also signed by RTC Judge Montero.
Aside from the illegal drugs, drug repacking and drug sniffing paraphernalia as well as P650 in cash believed to be proceeds of the drug operation were confiscated from Sanchez.
Senior Inspector William Homoc, MAIDSOTG chief, said that Sanchez was a noted drug pusher in the town and that they were waiting for the search warrant against Sanchez for his arrest.
Sanchez was reportedly a level three drug pusher who could dispose around 50 grams of shabu in a week.
The seized illegal drugs were taken to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory-7 for chemical analysis. (FREEMAN)
