CEBU, Philippines - Three men including one of the alleged most wanted persons in the town of Liloan were arrested after they were seized with shabu packs in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tayud late Friday night.
Arrested were Jun Cuyos, 34, a resident of the place and said to be one of the top 10 most wanted persons in Liloan; Jeremay Baguio, 31; and Danilo Luna, 41, who were both caught allegedly having a pot session inside Cuyos’ house.
Police said Cuyos admitted to selling shabu and even disclosed that he buys the drugs in Barangay Duljo-Fatima here in Cebu City and that he uses his house as a drug den for his customers.
“Mangompra kuno ni siya og balig P3,500 nga shabu adto sa Fatima unya iya na lang i-repack ug mao na pud iyang ibaligya og tag P250 kada-gamay nga pakete,” said Senior Police Officer 1 Bryan Batiquin, desk officer of Liloan Police Station.
During the buy-bust operation, Cuyos was arrested as soon as he received the money from an undercover policeman who acted as the poseur-buyer.
Police found Baguio and Luna inside Cuyos’ place allegedly having a pot session and also arrested them.
Recovered from Cuyos were four plastic packs of suspected shabu, nine empty sachets for shabu, and P300 bill used as the buy-bust money.
From Baguio, police recovered a small pack of shabu and a rolled aluminum foil and five more rolled aluminum foils from Luna.
Batiquin said that according to Cuyos, he used to be a tricycle driver but his alleged source of income got destroyed, prompting him to engage in illegal drug activity for two months now.
The suspects are now temporarily detained at the police station and are set to be transferred to the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center after the filing of case against them. (FREEMAN)
