3 Koreans found dead in resto
CEBU, Philippines - Three Koreans, two of them women, were found dead inside a Korean restaurant in Sitio Bagong Bayan Uno, Barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City yesterday afternoon.
Lapu-Lapu City Police Homicide Section investigators identified the victims as Ho An, his wife Kim Soonok and their daughter Young Mi An. The victims appeared to have bludgeon wounds.
The discovery of the bodies happened when a customer went to the Han Ga Wi Restaurant around 5 p.m. but noticed that it was closed. The customer looked inside and noticed bloodstains, prompting him and his companions to call the police.
Residents in the place told police investigators they wondered why the restaurant remained closed even after its usual opening time at 10 a.m., it was only when the customer came that they heard there were three dead people inside.
PO1 Joe Mari Villar of the Tourist Police said the restaurant’s guard Sharon Inting of D Ranger Security Agency said four Koreans entered their restaurant early morning yesterday and no longer left.
When police checked the area they found bloodstains that led away from the bodies and found a Korean man, Kim Se Wong, still alive in one of the rooms in the second floor. He was arrested by the police and brought to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
Villar said Inting told him the Koreans often argued about a business they were into. (FREEMAN)
