Man stabbed by intended victim
CEBU, Philippines - A man was killed after having an argument with another man in a benefit dance past 4 a.m. Friday in Barangay Balisong, Argao town.
In an interview with PO3 Benjamin Gerogasa, desk officer, he identified the victim as Jessie Adlawan, 27, of Barangay Balisong and the suspect as Felix Balucos, 54, also of the same place.
Gerosaga said that Adlawan and Balucos were seen arguing and just minutes later were already both wounded.
Police investigation revealed that after the argument Adlawan took a knife and stabbed Balucos twice, hitting his right shoulder.
Balucos though managed to wrestle with the victim.
He took the knife and stabbed the victim twice on his left shoulder and left body.
The victim was brought to the Isidro C. Kintanar Memorial Hospital for immediate medical attention.
Gerosaga said Adlawan died a few hours after he was confined.
He added that both Adlawan and Balucos were drunk when the incident happened.
Balucos is now detained at the Argao Police Station pending the filing of charges against him.
The Argao police are waiting for the family of the victim if they are going to press charges against Balucos. (FREEMAN)
