CEBU, Philippines - A taxi driver who demanded sex from his female passenger in exchange of the items left in his taxicab was arrested by the police last Wednesday.
Cerilo Sundo, 30, resident of Asturias, Cebu, was accused by a 26-year-old promo girl of alleged ‘sex blackmail’. The victim, who works at a mall in the North Reclamation Area, said she left her phone and a notebook in Sundo’s cab on March 2.
According to the victim, she texted her number and pleaded to whoever got her phone to return it and the notebook as she needed it in her work. It was Sundo who got the phone and texted her back demanding P500 to redeem the items.
The victim said she tried to haggle for a lower amount saying she could not afford his demand. However, Sundo reportedly asked her to instead have sex with him.
The victim said she reported the incident to the Mabolo Police Station. The police advised the victim to agree for him to be arrested. The victim asked the suspect to meet her in front of the police station on Wednesday.
As soon as the suspect arrived, he was immediately placed under arrest. The victim however refused to press charges, prompting the police to release the suspect.— /FPL (FREEMAN)
