CEBU, Philippines - The Naval Forces Central announced its annual recruitment program for those interested to be part of the naval forces either as an officer or enlisted personnel.
The Visayan Mobile Recruitment will run from March 10 to 18 at the University of Cebu Main Campus at Sanciangko Street corner Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City.
The mobile recruitment is a chance for interested applicants to economically process application since they will no longer go to Manila to submit.
Processing of requirements will be done in the first three days at the Personnel Office of NAVFORCEN. These requirements include original and photocopy of Birth Certificate, two pieces 2x2 colored ID pictures, NBI clearance, and application form.
The National Officers Candidate Course applicants must bring Transcript of Records while the Basic Seamanship Course must submit Form 137 and TESDA certificate from any vocational school.
Ensign Jaypee Abuan of Public Affairs Office said that the naval forces has recently opened doors to non-college graduates specifically those who have undergone trainings with NC II certification from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Applicants for the NOCC must be aged 21 to 28 years old and a graduate of any four or five years bachelors degree preferably Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Accountancy, Marine Engineering, Maritime Transportation, Civil Engineering and Naval Architecture.
For the enlistment, applicants must be aged 18 to 23 years old and must have attended at least 72 college units or has obtained NC II certificates on Electronics and Communications, Aviation, Aircraft Maintenance, Electricians, Mariners, Welders, Plumbers, Mechanics (Gas, Diesel Tubine) as well as heavy equipment operations.
