CEBU, Philippines - A 33-year-old man, believed to be electrocuted, was found dead near a perimeter fence of a poultry farm in Toledo City.
The victim was identified as Melvin Parba, resident of sitio Tinahas, Barangay Media Once, Toledo City.
Eugenio Pando, a resident of the place, found Parba lying on the ground lifeless with severe burns all over his body near a barbwire perimeter fence that is connected to a live wire.
Pando immediately called for assistance and a concerned citizen called Toledo City Police Station.
The poultry farm is said to be owned by Michael Rafols, a native of Media Once but is residing in Barangay Duljo-Fatima in Cebu City.
The victim’s body was brought to St. Peter Funeral Parlor in Toledo City.
Police have yet to determine the cause of the victim’s death and why he was in the place.
Investigators are also probing possible criminal liability of the farm’s owner. (FREEMAN)
