CEBU, Philippines - Nine police officers, who have been living together with their respective spouses without the blessings from the Church, availed of the mass wedding sponsored by Police Regional Office-7.
PRO-7 director Danilo Constantino and other key officials stood as principal sponsors. Constantino said he wants his men to follow not only the natural law that they are bound to uphold but the moral law as well.
He said that police officers should serve as good example to the community by marrying their respective live-in partners.
The police officers who availed of the mass wedding are members of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO), Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LCPO), and Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB).
Constantino said he intends to make it a yearly event in PRO-7. The mass wedding was celebrated at Saint Ignatius chapel inside Camp Sergio Osmeña Sr., where the PRO-7 headquarters is located.
The church wedding was free of charge and all expenses were shouldered by the PRO-7 including the reception. — (FREEMAN)
