CEBU, Philippines - A couple lost jewelry and cash amounting to P168,000 to burglars in Barangay Tisa, Cebu City. Chilo James Delator, 54, reported the incident to the Punta Princesa Police Station after he discovered that his wife’s bag, which was inside their residence, was already missing.
The bag contained a set of jewelry, including a pearl-stoned bangle and pearl earrings worth P85,000, a gold ring and earrings worth P32,000, a white gold ring worth P18, 000 and a gold wedding ring worth P22, 000.
Apart from the jewelries, cash amounting to P11,000 and some important cards were also inside the bag.
According to the police investigation, the thief climbed up the wall at the backyard of the Delators’ residence and used a branch to reach the bag through an open window in the master’s bedroom.
The victim and his family were reportedly inside their living room when the incident happened.
