CEBU, Philippines - The 26-year-old medical representative who figured in a road accident last week in Boljoon town has posted bail in the amount of P30,000.

Al-Dhinier Hadjula Sanaani, a resident of Barangay Sambag 2, Cebu City is now free from the custody of the police while the case for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide was filed before the Regional Trial Court in Argao.

State Prosecutor Rustom Presas of the Cebu Provincial Prosecutor's Office recommended the filing of case before the court after the accused chose not to file a counter-affidavit to answer the allegations filed against him before their office.

During the inquest proceedings, Sanaani manifested to face the charges before the court.

Judy Ann Lomera, 18; Cristy Marie Estella, 18 and Joanne Marie Romero, 16; all fourth year high school students of Boljoon National High School died after they sustained serious injuries when the Toyota Vios Sedan driven by the accused suddenly swerved and hit them last Feb. 6.

Sanaani and his companion, Kristine Joyce Batucan, 26, of Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City,  reportedly came from Santander town.

Other victims who sustained injuries were Nice Ancheta, 15; Melissa Mendez, 14; and Kynth Marie Mendez, all second year high school students.

The said students were on their way home from school walking along the bridge when the vehicle hit them.

Meanwhile, Insp. Dexter Basirgo, police chief of Boljoon, told The FREEMAN that the other complaint against Sanaani, for serious physical injuries, will be filed once necessary documents are ready.

"Once necessary documents will be completed then we will file the complaint before the Office of the Cebu Provincial Prosecutor in regular filing or under preliminary investigation," Basirgo said. (FREEMAN)
