CEBU, Philippines - The Philippine National Police (PNP) of Argao filed a criminal complaint against the driver of the Ceres bus involved in an accident at Barangay Talaga, Argao last Sunday that killed one and hurt ten people.
Ernesto Zerna, 30, was charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide yesterday. He did not file a counter-affidavit. Zerna, whose case was filed before the Municipal Trial Court of Argao, is now detained at the Argao police station.
The police are waiting for the victims of the accident to file a complaint before the police could file a case for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple injuries.
Meanwhile, Jena Destor Collin from Barangay Talaga, Argao is set to press charges against Zerna for damages to her property at the scene of the incident.
P02 Renato Nacatuna informed The FREEMAN that Collin approached PNP Argao for help so her case could be filed before the court. —(FREEMAN)
