CEBU, Philippines - Capitol Employees will finally be receiving their P15,000 bonus this Friday after the Provincial Board approved yesterday the supplemental budget for it.
"Within three days or on Friday upon the receipt of the budget, the bonus will be released," said Provincial Budget Officer Danny Rodas.
Governor Hilario Davide had announced the bonus of P15,000 for the Province's 1,500 casual and regular employees during the 444th founding anniversary last August 6.
Yesterday, the PB approved the P42.8 million supplemental budget containing the bonus.
The rest of the supplemental allocation includes items for development projects (P2.5 million), hospitals (P6.4 million) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal (P1.1 million).
Rodas explained that the allocation for the hospitals and south bus terminal also contained the bonuses for their workers.
"This incentive is supposed to be based on the modified Performance Evaluation System covering the period of January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012. However, I have decided that on the special occasion of our 444th Founding Anniversary, this incentive shall be given across the board," Davide earlier said. – (FREEMAN)
