CEBU, Philippines - Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama yesterday inaugurated a total of P25.5 million worth of road concreting projects in eight mountain barangays.
The mayor also broke ground two other road concreting projects amounting to P7.2 million in Barangays Babag and Buot.
Public Information Officer Florito “Carlo†Dugaduga said that Rama turned over P3.1 million road pavement project in Barangay Malubog, P3.2 million in Taptap, another P3.1 million in Sitio Tagaytay, Adlaon, P3.1 million in Lusaran, and P3.2 million in Barangay Cambinocot. There were also P9.6 million worth of projects turned over in Barangays Mabini, Binaliw, and San Jose.
Some of these newly completed projects were funded in 2011 and 2012 budgets. The city government reportedly has no fund for this year’s infrastructure projects under the 2013 annual budget. In fact, the barangay officials are still waiting for the release of the P6.6 million worth of financial assistance for infrastructure projects that are included in this year’s Annual Investment Plan. — (FREEMAN)
