CEBU, Philippines - The Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) will not be accepting obstetrics cases from July 18 until July 28 due to their routine preventive hospital maintenance.
In a statement, VSMMC Chief Dr. Gerardo Aquino Jr. said the VSMMC Infection Control Committee will conduct their annual routine preventive maintenance, scrubbing and cleaning together with the post-culture in the delivery and labor room, Ward 1, Ward 2 and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the said dates.
However, they will start admitting emergency cases in the Delivery Room starting July 15 to give time for their social workers to discharge the remaining patients.
Patients from the southern part of Cebu can be referred to St. Anthony Mother and Child and the Talisay District Hospital.
Those coming from the northern part of Cebu, may be referred to the Eversley Child Sanitarium and General Hospital. (FREEMAN)
