CEBU, Philippines - A criminal complaint for parricide was filed yesterday before the Cebu Provincial Prosecutor’s Office against a man accused of killing his wife on Wednesday evening.
Upon inquest, the respondent William Labrador, 25, a resident of Barangay Poblacion Ward 4, Minglanilla, Cebu waived his right to answer the allegation filed against him.
Assistant Prosecutor Petronio Elesterio then recommended the filing of the case before the court. He recommended no bail.
On Wednesday at 10:35 in the evening, Anna May Labrador, 23, died in the hands of her husband when the latter accidentally pulled the trigger of his paltik Frontier revolver.
The incident was reportedly witnessed by their two kids, aged three and four.
After the incident, the victim was brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
The victim reportedly just came from a children’s birthday party in Barangay Bakay of the same municipality before the incident happened.
SPO1 Florante Capangpangan earlier said that Anna May asked permission from her husband to attend a birthday party which the latter permitted on the condition that she will come home early.
However, the victim returned late.
Capangpangan, the leader of the responding team, said the victim knocked the door in several times before the respondent open the door. The couple then had an argument that led to the shooting of the victim.
The respondent said it was just an accident and that he regretted what happened. (FREEMAN)
