CEBU, Philippines - Two more Capitol department heads were ordered transferred to another office by Governor Hilario Davide III yesterday.
Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) chief, Dr. Cristina Giango, is transferred as physician of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC). Davide said he has been getting negative feedbacks at the IPHO even during the campaign period.
“Ako mismo I have peace of mind, gusto ko nga mahapsay pud na ang IPHO,†Davide said.
Replacing Giango as officer-in-charge of IPHO is Dr. Cynthia Genesolango whose performance Davide will observe in the next six months.
“I’d like just to take the job head on with the cooperation and support of the rest of our personnel of the PHO plus our good relationship with our chief of hospitals,†Genesolango said.
She expects that Giango will be turning over some important matters especially for some health programs that are ongoing.
Davide also ordered the acting head of the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), Felixberta Gelicame, to be replaced by Melita Labarejos. He said he has standards in choosing his department heads who have his trust and confidence as the appointing authority.
“Just for my peace of mind lang gyud as governor, I need to be also assured nga kining atong mga department heads really work for the greater interest sa atong mga kaigsoonan,†Davide said.
Last Wednesay, Davide reassigned Evelyn Senajon as acting head of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
Senajon replaced Marivic Garces who is assigned at the provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Neil Sanchez.
“I have no problem working with anybody whom the governor wishes to assign sa akong opisina, trabaho man lang ni atoa,†Sanchez said.
Sanchez eyes Garces to be the training officer of the PDRRMO and as the head of the secretariat of the PDRRM Council. (FREEMAN)
