Stabbing hurts 3 in Pardo
CEBU, Philippines - Three men were injured after they were stabbed by a teenager whom they earlier mauled in Barangay Pardo at 1 a.m. yesterday.
Police identified the victims as Mark Anthony Pradilla, 17, resident of Barangay San Roque, Talisay City; Allan Cabañero, 28, of Barangay Punta Princesa; and Reneboy Saruga, 18, of Barangay Quiot Pardo.
Investigation shows that the victims, together with their friends, were attending a benefit dance when the incident happened.
The victims were standing at the vicinity of the dance court when a group of youngsters made fun of them.
Homicide investigator, PO1 Reoful Adalim, said the victims mauled one of the teenagers.
The two groups were eventually pacified by the residents in the area and the youngsters scampered and disappeared.
Few minutes later, the same group arrived and engaged the victims into a fistfight.
However, without the victims knowing, one of the suspects carried a knife and just concealed it using a handkerchief, said Adalim.
Investigators found that the teenager mauled by the victims was the same person who stabbed them.
Pradilla sustained stabbed wounds in his chest and stomach, Cabañero in his chest, and Saruga in his left wrist, forehead, and left armpit.
The victims were taken to the Cebu City Medical Center and are now in stable condition while the assailant remained at large and unidentified. FPL (FREEMAN)
