CEBU, Philippines - The Department of Social Welfare and Development-7 announces the need to hire more staff for its Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan - Integrated and Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) program.

The need to hire more staff came following its upgrading into a national program to cover over 900 poor municipalities and help about 5.9 million households across the country.

The Philippine Information Agency-7 said that there will be 104 municipalities in Region VII that will benefit the program.

According to Simeon Remata III, regional social marketing officer for Kalahi-CIDSS, the program will be implemented by the different national government agencies starting this year up to 2019.

Remata said they need more manpower to implement this program. Beginning this month until August, DSWD-7 is accepting applicants for the following positions under the National Community-Driven Development Program's contract of services: one deputy regional project manager, regional community development specialist, regional community infrastructure specialist, monitoring and evaluation officer II and regional financial analyst.

They also need two regional infrastructure officers, three monitoring and evaluation officers III, and 70 area coordinators. More positions will open in the coming days.

Interested applicants should address their application letter to DSWD-7 regional director together with their comprehensive resume. (FREEMAN)
