CEBU, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino's tight schedule has forced Bando Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK) to move its scheduled rally on Thursday at the Cebu Provincial Capitol grounds.
Cebu City South District Rep. Tomas Osmeña said that the rally will be held on Friday instead. Osmeña said that the president himself requested for the postponement of the rally to a later date because of his prior commitments.
Osmeña, who serves as manager for the political event, said that some of the senatorial candidates of the Liberal Party may not also be able to come and will just send representatives.
However, Osmeña said that substitutes will not be allowed to speak during the rally. Even local candidates of BOPK will not be allowed to speak except for those who were given the task to introduce a senatorial candidate.
According to Osmeña, only Councilors Michael Ralota and Augustus Pe Jr., Gabriel Leyson, and Zenaida Amores were given the task to introduce senatorial candidates.
He also reiterated that BOPK supporters may attend the rally but the party will not provide vehicles and food for them. (FREEMAN)
