CCPO gets good AGI rating
CEBU, Philippines - Except for minor demerits, the Cebu City Police Office was rated fairly well by the inspectors from Camp Crame during the Annual General Inspection that started since Monday.
CCPO director Mariano Natuel said they have conformed to the standards of the Philippine National Police. Although there were minor demerits like unshined buckles, outdated emblems in their caps, and no haircut but overall they were given a good rating by Supt. Alma Teresita Opelanio, member of the team from Camp Crame.
“Duna’y usa ka-personnel na wala kapatupi, pagkahapon gi-correct na, then kadtong mga pulis na wala ma-shine ang buckles, pagkahapon gipakita sa iyaha, shined na (There was one who did not have a haircut and unshined buckle but these were immediately corrected). Only minor defects,†Natuel said.
As far as the Operational Readiness Site Inspection and Troop Evaluation (ORSITE) is concerned, the Camp Crame officials only noted a minor glitch in the bank robbery scenario.
“Okay atong performance except sa iyang na-notice sa guard na dugay na ayo gahigda (after being killed). Pagsod sa medical team, ang giuna ang sulod, but there’s a security guard na dugay na gabuy-od,†Natuel recalled.
Natuel said the inspectors did not have any negative remarks on their operational records and their building and offices. Natuel admitted that they’re vying for the award as best city police office in the country.
The AGI-ORSITE, which is usually conducted in August, is a yearly nationwide activity conducted in all police officials and units to evaluate the overall capability and effectiveness of PNP personnel in various scenarios like civil management, immediate action drill, hostage scenarios, bank robbery scenarios, and bomb explosion, among others.
The activity also helps the police to determine the points that they need to improve in their organization. — (FREEMAN)
