CEBU, Philippines - The Jose R. Gullas Halad Foundation, in cooperation with The FREEMAN and Banat News and ABS-CBN’s dyAB, will hold the JRG Halad Pasalamat Year 3 tomorrow, February 2 at the Gullas Medical Center in Banilad, Mandaue City.
The event, which will start with a Holy Mass at 7:30 a.m., features medical services such as pediatric and adult medical consultations, blood screening, ECG, circumcision, Cervical Cancer Screening, bloodletting, acupuncture, dental services, eye examination and bone scanning; non-medical services such as cooking demonstrations, a bookkeeping seminar and honeybee raising seminar. There will also be veterinary services, legal consultation and job referral services.
Government agencies such as the NSO, PhilHealth, GSIS, Pag-ibig, SSS and DFA will be joining the event and will be providing different services while TESDA will be providing free haircut, cellphone repair and massage. There will also be feeding services for children and other beneficiaries.
Jose “Dodong†Gullas, the brains behind the Halad Pasalamat, said it is his dream and passion to be able to share his blessings to the less fortunate.
“We always strive to provide more services every year. I am very happy that many individuals and organizations are helping us this year. I hope that God will provide us with good health so we can continue the Halad in the years to come,†he said.

Gullas is celebrating his birthday today, February 1, and instead of holding a party for his friends and family, he, together with his wife Nena, is spearheading activities that will benefit the less fortunate such as Confirmation rites and a mass wedding, which will be held today, and the Halad Pasalamat tomorrow.
