The witnesses saw a motorcycle-riding man believed to be the assailant fleeing from the crime scene but did not recognize his face.
The police found a spent shell for 9mm pistol at the crime scene.

“Giatngan ni daan sa gawas kay sayo man gyud ni mangabli ang tag-iya una pusila (the gunman waited for the victim to open his water refilling station,” Pelare said.
Personal grudge is being eyed by the police as possible motive in the killing.
