CEBU, Philippines — A recent bridal fashion presentation titled “Vivace: I Do” recently took place in Cebu as a highlight of the grand opening of a new events venue in the city. The show illustrated how a number of the metro’s up-and-coming designers are looking beyond what’s trendy – their creative oeuvres are no longer bound by what bites at the moment.
Held on October 19 at the new Vivace Events Center by Cebu Ocean Park at the SM Seaside Complex, the aesthetics of the pieces presented in the show anchored on light appropriations of heavy styles and motifs – via embroidered pieces whose embroideries aren’t overbearing, corset-themed designs that tread on lighter practical points and ball gowns that carry the breadth of the classic ball gown without the needless weight.
The occasion also introduced the features of the new events center – highlighting its pillarless ballrooms that boast direct views to the Cebu Ocean Park’s aquariums and to a number of amenities like state-of-the art audiovisual set that are sure to make gatherings and celebrations truly memorable.
